Your Club/Council Vice President’s Duties

  1. Clearly identify the objective of the project.
  2. Before accepting to assist with a project, find a tentative Volunteer Team Leader. Contact the previous Team Leader if applicable. Be a mentor for the Volunteer Team Leader.
  3. Complete a Volunteer Job Description (a list of the requirements of a volunteer) stating specifically what their function is, where the event is taking place, when it is (date and time), how long it is, why it is important, etc. and provide this to the Volunteer Team Leader.
  4. Notify SaskTel Community Relations of the Team Leader’s e-mail address, and the name, date, and location of the event, so that they can add it to the list of volunteer opportunities.
  5. Have a calendar of events available (this should include SaskTel and other city events that may interfere) to set the date.
  6. Recognition for the Volunteer Team Leader and thank you cards or e-mails (for projects with large numbers of volunteers) for the volunteers.
  7. Ensure that the postmortem report has been completed and submitted by the Volunteer Team Leader(s).
