Y-Team
Description
The Pioneers Y-Team, comprised of volunteers aged 30 years and under, was originally formed in 2003. In its first year, the group spearheaded a number of national Pioneer initiatives, including the creation and distribution of POWER packs (backpacks containing school supplies and educational equipment) to elementary school children. Overtime, the Y-Team became dormant. In 2007 the Y-Team was re-energized, and at the same time representatives from Aliant, SaskTel's Canadian partner in the TelecomPioneer effort, agreed to put out the call to their young members to create an Aliant Y-Team as well.
The Y-Team's goal is to recruit members from the younger generation to ensure that the pioneer iniative remains strong for years to come. The Y-Team wants to help bring fresh new ideas to the pioneer organization.

Pet Beds
The SaskTel Pioneer Youth Team (Y-Team) is planning to provide comfort for the many felines and canines at the Regina and Saskatoon Humane Societies. The group has organized a project to make special pet blankets/beds for our furry friends. For more information, contact Stacey Lulik
