We had so much fun this year again at Camp Easter Seal. Despite the weather we (Jacqui Wiesner, Debbie and Matthew Lucyshyn) got the flowers in their beds and cabins and various other buildings were cleaned and organized. Merv Wiesner helped build walls for another project the counselors needed done. Because of the weather we were not able to plant the gardens and clean up in the bush etc. or put out the docks.
We can't wait for next year's work bee!

Adopt-A-Family Secret Christmas Hamper Program - Saskatchewan Rivers School Division
This was the first year supporting the Adopt-A-Family program. On December 22,2009 the SaskTel Prince Albert Pioneers Presented our hampers to the Riverside School to be dropped off. The program has over 375 students, many of whom come from backgrounds of poverty and are dealing with issues of homelessness.
Because of the Prince Albert Pioneers generosity they were able to raise $ 504.00 in under a week for their family, a single mom with 2 boys, ages 9 and 10 with a little 5 year old sister. With these funds a Huge Christmas Food Hamper was put together. Inside was everything to have a wonderful Christmas Dinner, Turkey, ham, potatoes, stuffing and so many dry goods that they filled over 6 boxes. The three young kids also had many awesome toys to rip open Christmas morning, along with great stocking stuffers ,including fun and practical items for the single mom.
